Help really needed rear Impreza speakers
Ok - so i have now got the grills off the back "shelf" and removed the speakers.
To my annoyance they are not 16.5 cm like the grill but are a lot smaller.
I now have two choices:
1. Replace with the same size that came out - this appears to be quite a challenge in finder replacement speakers (15.5 cm??).
2. Get some sort of adapter kit.
Can anyone please give me some advice as i've torn all my hair out and polished my car again (second time this week!!!!)
Thanks.

you don't mention your car model, but I presume not that much has changed from classic to new age.
I took out the old crap and fitted a set of alpine 6x9's in the rear of my scoob. Although I need to take out the rear seats (well easy by the way!) it wasn't that hard.
I actually fitted them from below, which was the only way for this size.
I made some nice flexible spacers by sandwiching togther several book covers, glued and cut into rings the same size as the stock spacers. The stock spacers were hard plastic and didn't fit flush over the pressed metalwork. The flexible spacers workerd a treat. I did have to drill additional holes, but this was really easy - just watch the window!!!
