Question How many watts is reasonable for sub/amp?

Not had any decent ice fitted since I was 17, so a little out of touch with ICE techno. Not after anything windscreen shattering but loud and crisp enough to feel and hear it.

Would 350W RMS be good enough or does it need to be higher?

Looking at 2 MONO amps at the minute....

Alpine (MRP-350) = 350W RMS (£100)
Sony (XMD 500) = 600W RMS (£150)

Have a 10" Infinity sub and ported box which has been sat around for 8 odd years. Have no probs upgrading if its not upto the job.
