Poor radio reception
Recently fitted an Alpine Head Unit using the Auto Leads wiring harness, radio struggles to get a good signal. I've checked that the wire to the ariel amplifier is connected and has power, found there was only 10.8 volts supply from the head unit. Has anyone else found this and is there any remedies.

Hi
This has been covered before, from memory theres a blue or blue and white wire in the harness that needs connecting together to supply power to the ariel amplifier. Is this connected properly ?
There are some pics I think on the NASIOC site

Have already checked the wiring and the blue/white wires are connected. Problem is the Alpine head unit is only supplying 10.8 volts to the ariel amplifier, even when its disconnected! Has anyone else found this problem?

Afternoon - My dodgy reception was down to the centre pin on the aerial earthing out to the outside sheath. Looked fine looking at it and took me a good afternoon to figure out! I re-terminated the lead and all is well now (well I presume it still is....without the car for over a month now!
Cheers
