Anyone heard of JBL Speakers?
Hello there everyone, first timer in need of some advice...
Had my Impreza MY05 for just over a week now and badly need to upgrade the speakers & the head Unit as they are not very good....
Motorworld are doing an offer on JBL speakers instore & on the web for half price...Here's the spec...
13cm 2 way speaker,165W peak,including tweeter & crossover network,59mm mounting depth for £54.99 usually £99.99...
Are these any good?
Will they fit OK in the front doors?
Found a HU I quite like a pioneer DEH-P7700MP...
Any advice please? Thanks...

lol, JBL = JunkButLoud...(this is more a pro-audio slur/joke on their name than for car audio)
(edit) - they are, however, a prime manufacturer of loudspeakers and I have one of their freeby fleeces so they're fine by me!

As anyone knows JBL make some of the finest speakers going, seeing as most of the PA systems you listen to when going to concerts are using JBL drivers then I don't think they are junk, I used JBL subs in my cars for years and NEVER blew one, the ones I have blown are MTX, Pyle, Emanance. I now use RE subs.
JBL are certainly worth considering, but are a budget chioce in the ICE world.

i saw the same speakers in halfrauds for the same price as the infinity speakers, infinity had better spec and sounded the much better, i replaced my old JBL for the infinity

JBL and infinity are the same company, both part of the Harmon-Kardon group, JBL have gone a bit sour IMHO, and infinity are far the best choice for sound quality, JBL used to be good quality, but are aimed at the entry level people, far better to spend the extra on a better pair. just my 2p
