Im after a new head unit & iv been looking on caraudiosecurity , but carnt make me mind up which 1 , any help on this 1 peeps, looking @ about £200

 

A head unit is only as good as your speakers and amp.... I have an alpine head with alpine amp and components but opted for kenwood 6x9's - a fairly cheap but audible setup

have a look at the alpine CDA 9812RB,superb unit mp3/motorised tilt/loads of pre-outs for the speakers/amps-subs

I found that the kenwood speakers were good value for money too and your right your head unit can cost the earth but if your speakers and amp are pants well your stereo will sound like a std unit in an Escort 1.3 with the sound turned up as loud as it will go and the speakers saying please stop...! please stop the pain....!

I would honestly go to Halfrauds and HEAR some head units.

Everybody on here will recommend XYZ, because that's what THEY like or have. Nowt wrong with that, but everybody's different

I personally prefer Pioneer, but I've got a Sony H/Unit with Infinity speakers. I'm not overly impressed with the Infinitys TBH. I'm used to good speakers (due to my job ), but these didn't set me on fire.

Hey there I have an Alpine head unit and always have bought alpine, I reackon you cant go wrong with them. Then i have Kicker 6x9s in the back Kicker in the front doors kicker solarbaric sub and kicker amp. And it and sounds great.
