Hi
I have jut installed my new headunit. It is a all in 1 DVD with a built in screen etc and separate decoder box.
It is all wired up to uprated fronts and standard rear. No Amp or Sub etc.
Problem is im getting a 'hiss' from all of the speakers at any volume.
Wondering how i can fix this?
Thanks

Does the 'hiss' occur when the engine is switched off, or only when it's on?
Does it occur only when you have the radio on (volume right down), DVD, or whatever other sources you have?

Hi
The all in 1 DVD player has a separate decoder box which is where the speakers are distributed 2. Not like a normal head unit. Head unit only has power etc. Then connected via a BUS cable is the decoder unit where the speaker cables go to.
Cables 4 the decoder box just run into my glove box where the decoder sits.
I have a testin bench 4 these systems and it all works perfect with 4 small speakers on my kitchen table, but in my scoob the sound cannot be turnned up at all..... distorted and hissing, sounds like there is 2 much bass and treble
Ive heard about interference, if u run speaker cables and power (acc leads) next to each other... just odd, neva come accross a decoder box. mayb there is a prob with the distribution via this box.....
