Can't help with exact colours, but if you've got a 9v battery (small PP9 or whatever it's called) and the old speakers then when you connect the battery (do it just for a moment) if you have the batt + on the speaker + (and the batt - on the speaker -) the cone will move outwards.
As long as you know which colour went to which terminal of the speaker originally you can then work out what colour is the positive.
Note that a 9V battery won't kill the speaker as long as you're sensible; it'll only deliver about 20 Watts maximum.

for speakers!!!
WONT make a difference!! as all it does is NOT give its full potential, (sound quality)
then you just swap the wires around again!!
if that fails HALFORDS can help!!!!

This is a real easy and trusted way to check for correct phasing at the amp.
