#1
This is my first post - and its good news!
If you are looking to buy a cd changer & head unit package JamJar.co.uk have one on their site which looks like it has been priced about £300 too cheap! It a pioneer MCD6900RDS, 6 disk CD changer and radio cassette for £109!!!
My friend who works in a car stereo shop reckons he buys them from Pioneer at £245!
I've just ordered one and apparently it will be delivered in 3 days - I'll let you know!

Hummm.... The money has gone off my card, but the supplier are denying all knowledge and Jam Jar say that yes it was priced wrong and can I go on the site and cancel my order! I spoke to a bloke at jam jar who say that I should refer to the terms and conditions of the site, which I did. It says that my contract is with the supplier, not jam jar, but also says "All prices are correct at the time of display in the shop and include vat ..." I cannot take it up with the supplier since jam jar have not passed on my order and do not return my calls.

Shops on the net must work in the same way as a normal shop. And that is if the price is displayed on the item then when you take it to the till they HAVE to sell it you at that price no matter what is should be...
I could be wrong. Anyone else know anything about this sort of thing????

Longun - you're wrong.
I think that the law was changed a couple of years back to protect against stupid staff and customers re-labeling products.
In short, they can refuse to sell you anything. One thing that they cannot do is insist that you buy it at the higher price.
Computer exchange had an excellent sound card that I wanted to buy for 12 quid rather than 150, and they wouldn't sell it. Spoke to trading standards and got the whole story.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news (for bargain hunter )

As if by magic Jam Jar just called me - (are you out there?!). Looks like Chiark is right, and i could not be bothered to argue too much. They are not going to sell me it at the price advertised , but they have refunded my money, and are sending me £25 compensation - which is better than nothing i 'spose
