Help needed with Optima Yellow Top Battery...
Hi.
Recently bought an Optima Yellow Top battery, but it's been giving me problems.
Installed it within the engine bay, so that I could use it to start the engine and to power my amps/subs. Thing is, it takes around 30-40 seconds to start the car up. I turn the key, the charge is slow, then get's faster and faster until it finally manages to start. I've been on the M1 a few times, but once I park the car up and try starting again, I have to go through the same thing.
Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance.

I have a yellow top battery in my car...never ever has it given me a problem, never died on me even after listening to music without the car on for hours and hours..
I would think the battery is fauly, and you should take it back..for the amount that you paid for it they should help you out.

Are all the connections to the battery tight?
Or could it be a sticking starter motor?
If the battery does not go flat whilst cranking the car then it seems that the battery is not at fault and is being charged correctly.
Have someone check the charging/starting circuit out, optima batteries are usually very reliable.

Thanks for the replies.
I tryed the battery in my dad's cars over the weekend, and I still had trouble starting them. Hopefully I'll get a replacement.
