Default 1 amp or 2

It all started with me wanting to tighten up the electric window mounts in the front doors...

Within an hour I was half way through my first system install on my v5 WRX 4dr with bits I have lying around (how things snowball). I have ripped out the double din stereo, seats, trim etc. I have installed some front JBL GT6c components and dynamatted the front doors and boot. I have made a hardboard base for behind the rear seats and am about to start on the mdf panel for inside the boot. So far so good.

I have an alpine V12 mrv-f400 4/3/2 amp, a Rockford Fosgate 100.2 amp and a kicker 10" enclosed sub. I have just ordered some infinity 9603i 6x9 speakers and an Alpine CDE-9827R mp3 head unit.

Ideally the sub would go in, but the wife also uses the car some days, the sub and the pram won't both get in
I am also going to twin and earth the speakers, if i can bear the knuckle rash.

So, to my question

Should I cable in both amps and run the fronts from the RF amp 100Wx2, rears from V12 160Wx2, or, run everything from the V12 at 4x60W. (all these ratings are at 14.4v).

Thoughs or anything I missed....? I would have liked to go for 8" subs under the parcel shelf as a compromise, but can't afford this at the moment.

WOW !!! but I could just imagine the quality of the job i'd do, best not even start.

I have decided to use both amps, and also run an additional phono lead for a future sub. When Max is out of his pram, I can then run all 4 speakers from the 60Wx4 alpine amp, and have 420W from the RF amp for the sub.

All this talk of power in the HU, are they rated in RMS or peak power ??

thanks

Power from the HU will be Max power not RMS I believe.

I.E. 40 watts x 4 = 40 Watts MAX x4
