Default head unit install help my01

HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP


trying to install a head unit in the bug eye

took the old unit out and...WTF

theres a thick wire with little foam around that i can't get off.

also none if the plugs are straight PnP

anyone please help

this is the back of the unit that i wanna FIT in

The unit that you want to fit should come with a full wiring harness with ISO attachments on the end.

If it doesn't, take it back to where you bought it. You need that harness.

Go to an ICE dealer and get the ISO wiring loom for whatever make of head unit you have, then buy an subaru ISO adaptor (PC2-44-4 I think).

The thick wire sounds like the aerial lead which should pull apart, but is often stiff (oo errr)
