Default £250 for a new head unit, Which one?

Hello

I am going to spend £250 on a new head unit next week and wanted some opinions, which do you think is best for the money, I really like the Alpine 9812 but have heard it is quite bright, whats the pioneer P80MP like and can anybody tell me if both of the above fit into the dash of a new shape wrx with a forrester pocket?

Any advise is appreciated

Thanks james

I just bought a Pioneer DEH-P7500MP (not the current model DEH-P7600MP) because the lights around the dials are Green, a perfect match to the cars lighting, the new model is mostly blue lighting, but apart from this (Oh ........ & £50 extra) no difference.

The reason I got this unit was because of the fantastic built in crossover network system.

You can even power a sub without adding an amp !

Sound quality is exellent, and the black & dark silver match the dash perfectly.

And I can get about 140 WMA files on one CD (much better compresion and quality than MP3)

They will both fit straight in with no mods, and I know the Forrester pocket fits cos I've seen one.

Best £190.00 i've spent in ages !!!!

Hope this helps,
