classic rear speakers?

classic rear speakers?
can anyone tell me how you remove the rear speakers in a classic impreza? do i just force the grill covers off from the inside of car or not because they dont seem to want to move. also will a set of 6x9`s fit straight into the holes as i noticed they are quite oval? cheers

6x9's will require cutting the rear parcel shelf
