Default Crap Radio Reception

I've just fiited a nice new Nakamichi CD400 into my MY02 bugeye wrx and I can't believe how poor the reception on the radio is.

I find it hard to even pick up local stations, it is really that bad.

Anyone experienced the same?

Anyone fixed this problem or know of any suggestions?

Answers on a postcard...........

Have you connected the power control in the ISO block?

Chiark: Anyone

I just fitted my CDXF7700 and have noticed that the reception is wandering a little.

On the instructions the pin outs are:

4) YELLOW - continuous power Supply
5) BLUE - Power Arial control
6) ORANGE & WHITE - Switched illumination power supply
7) RED - Switched power Supply
8) BLACK - Earth

I have plugged this into the Autoleads Harness Adaptor PC2-44-4

I have noticed coming out of the plug which goes into the back of the Sony Player two other leads BLUE WHITE STRIED - AMP REM and LIGHT BLUE – ATT

I expect the Blue white striped is for external amp, but not sure what the ATT light blue wire is.

I is not at all clear what this wire is for or what to do with it.

After reading this thread it has made me wonder if I have got it wrong.

Ideas Please?

I think ATT is attenuate, to reduce the volume when connecting to a mobile phone kit.

GaryCat; yep that make sence, was not that clear in the instructions.

So do you recon there is power to the Arial or not, with your Sony install, or did you fit it differently to me ????

Yes the blue must be connected, I'm sure it was in the PC2-44-4 adaptor that I used.
