I need to seeriously sort out something ridiclous like a tv and dvd unit in my car

I was gonna put in all Alpine - but after to speaking to a Scooby member it appears that most of the DVD's are not multi regional - in fact I have only heard of Toad - at £600 which is - but have not seen it

What would people recommend as a good tv/dvdv set up -on the assumption that I want to watch US films

I was also gonna go for JL audio all round but there is such mixed opinion on this - some people say its crap - some say its excellent. I heard MB Quartz in another members car and was impressed - but I am informed they went out of business and people are just running down the stock they have left?

Why not buy the Alpine from a US website?
I looked at this unit which has a touch screen display.
Alternatively, get a Region 2 unit and only leave rented DVDs in the car!
You could get in touch with Prestige Audio in Rayners Lane [Harrow]. I have been using them for my last five cars.

Panasonic is dolby too

Get yourself down unique again. They got good stuff at the mo.

Ronaldo
No thanks

Adam? - No I want it to be in the dash bit - I would expect a multichanger will not fit?

I'm off to the US soon and will be buying - rather a lot of DVD's - depending on price - and e/r so the DVD unit must play region 1.

(Is there any decent companies that do it mail order - and were customs dont find out - so u dont get clobbered)

Most of the current DVD titles are too old from a video shop

Is the Panasonic mutli region - or can it be chipped?

Thanks anyway - I'll look at a few set ups this weekend - getting bored of my multi din Alpine unit, with minidisc and cd - great system Ronaldo but I want something even more flash now - just a couple of steps behind u - still con sidering more extensive engine mods - but that will decimate the 2nd hand value of the car

Now if I had Bajie's car - that would be nice! - but were not all millionaires

Cool

I read recently that one of the big ICE firms has just released the first DVD multichanger for a car. Don't know if that is what you're after but it is the latest and greatest apparently...
