Amp advice/recommendation plse
I've pretty much decided on a new headunit the Pioneer DEH-P77MP which looks pretty good vfm & following advice here I'm looking to pair it with some Infinity ref 6000 cs front speakers.
I'd also like a small sub & obviously an amp but should i be looking at driving the front speakers & sub with the amp or just the sub ?
And what amp/sub would you recommend ?
Cheers
Chris

hi mate depends what kind of sub you are after your price range etc. if you are going for a 10" sub id go for a infinity perfect 10 1000 watts great sound quality, if your going for 12" then id go for an infinity perfect 12" 1300 watts power great sound mate i have two of these and the sound and quality of the bass is deafening i tell ya.
if your going for components also then go for a 4 channel amp again price range comes into it go for alpine v12 range or if you can get hold of any kenwood competition amps thse are great because most of these are underratted. if you can get your hands on a kenwood ps401 then these are great mate.
hope this helps but you need to clarify the question abit more like price range preferences etc

Sorry I should have said, I'm looking at about £500 total spend.
This is what I've come up with so far :
Headunit
Front speakers (I've been told the headunit will cope well with the fronts)
Active Sub
What d'you think chaps ? Total £494

Have a look at DLS Speakers as these are reasonably priced and sound awesome (IMO). If you are feeling particularly flush and want a real quality amp go for the Genesis Series III 5 Channel amp which will power F&R&S for about £700. Also if you are thinking of upgrading further this can be bridged to provide more power with additional. Generally the Genesis Amp's rock, hand made to the highest quality and you don't lose quality to volume (again IMO)
Would recommend a good listen to anything first and remember that speakers are a bit like engines. (Don't over power them straight away as they need time to settle, a good installer will say to go back about 1month later to check the amp settings etc)
