Changing the Rear Speakers MY98
Hi,
Just got me a new set of speakers, but i cant seem to get the top grill off to unscrew them...
These are the rear speakers, i think the seat back comes down but not sure as i did not want to force it...
Any advise....

its not that easy to replace the stock rear speakers.
the stock are designed and fitted with a weird shaped frame, and the screws to get to these are under the parcel shelf.
in order to get the parcel shelf out, you have to remove the rear seats, and at least part of the rear interior. even with this done, there is a chance that the back of the shelf is stuck to the rear window bonding, a sharp razor blade at the back should get this sorted.
then once you've finnaly got the stock one out, you have two option, either build mdf baffles for them and mount them underneath, or get drilling into the metal work of the rear shelf to make the right screw holes for the speakers....
