recently put my sound system in my car... but the bass in the boot just makes the rear spoiler vibrate like mad!!! its the center base section of the spoiler, not the actual wing. is there anything i can put in the boot too make it less vibration? or do something too the wing too strengthen the base.
and no... i aint taking th spoiler off!
Cheers

From: Nottingham - HEY scumbag, leave my scoob alone!!!
Have you put sound deadening in the boot?
I have a good sound system in my scoob, had to remove to spoiler last week because the vibration from the rockford fosgate sub had shaken out the seals around it, and also damaged the paintwork on the boot lid under the seals
. Am now trying to find a dealer that stocks the seals so that i can replace them, i've done a temp fix on the old ones and touched up the paint work i've also refixed the spoiler. My spoiler does rattle/vibrate like mad, i've still not found a cure for it after 2 years trying, sound deadening in the boot area does help a little and the spray on type inside the boot lid cavities, but this stuff is very messy, infact i don't think i'll be using it again, the spray-on that is.
Another cure is to keep the stereo turned down, but i just love a good bass line whilst i'm driving my scoob, it adds to the pure driving pleasure
