Never heard of any immobiliser interfering with a radio before, are you getting a noise on the radio when it is on mW/LW is it a whirring noise? Is the noise there when engine is not running?

More likely to be HT leads/ignition noise as MW and LW are more subject to this problem, also alternator noise can be picked up on MW/LW as well.

Why are you listening to MW/LW anyway?
