Hi,

Just wanted some advice on the following setup, contemplating a sub+amp as an addition, but not sure what sort to go for, any ideas... this is what I have already (or at least will be installed in a few weeks):

Alpine headunit
DDDrive 6.5" fronts
DDDrive 6x9" rears
V12 4-way amp

- would I need a capacitor if I added a second amp?

- what sort of amp/subwoofer would you recommend?

- any recommendations on how to fit 6x9" in the rear shelf?

Cheers, Alex

Capacitors are like strut braces: some swear they're worth the money, others doubt it...

I don't bother.

Subwoofer? Depends on what you like. Tight, punchy bass or something that can loosen bowels at 70 paces. I run 2x10s at the moment (JL Audio 10W6s) and they do the job, though they're not particularly loud...

John's pretty much got the links covered for you

Cheers guys..

I am having the install done in stages, unlike my last scooby... so plenty of time to look at sub's.. already got a KW PT201 (I think thats the number) ref. amp (2 channel) and a vibe box with a 8" or 10" in it.. not sure, I might be selling both, we will see..

Thanks for the links, I'll take a look..
