i have a 53, I had a problem with the depth when fitting the brackets. i've had to shave some plastic off the fascia ... it's only a few mm.

happy apart from DAB ariel falling off, and i'm now gettig MMC errors on the card ... not sure if it's the card or the unit.

DAB is very good shen in range ... when not ... you get nowt !!

Mark,

I want to re-fit my Blaupunkt DXR-52 and A-09 changer as the my dealer used the original fixing brackets and gaffer tape. The install was ok but as I've got to have the head unit repaired, I'd thought it was a good opportunity for a neater install.

Did you use the orginal double din brackets or the cages which came with the head unit? If you used the Subaru single DIN kit, how do you fit the bottom unit?

Cheers,
Adrian

I used insulation tape on my Blaupunkt when fitting it so that the A09 was secured to the MP72.I found that I could only use two out of the possible eight screws (At least I think it's eight!! ) to secure the mounting bracket to the head unit.Mine's been in the car for a good couple of months now and has shown no signs of movement!!
It ain't the neatest job when you whip the stereo out of the recess but it looks fine when it's installed

Good luck

Nick

Any of you guys know if I can use the Blaupunkt IDC-A 09 in-dash changer with a non-Blaupunkt head unit? I'd like to get that and an Alpine CDE-9827R but not if I can't use them together..!!

Cheers.
