I'm just about to replace the standard set up in my MY02 STi and would appreciate your advice, help and comments on what I'm proposing to have installed. Unfortunately I don't know a lot about ice, but have read through about 40 pages of posts to gain some idea.
Headunit: this is being replaced by a Blaupunkt Los Angeles MP72 and single din IDC A09 changer.
Front speakers: I've listened to and liked the Infinty 6500cs, but am not sure if it would be easier to get the 6000cs instead from a fitting point of view? As an alternative, what about the Kenwood dual mags?
Rear speakers: not sure if I'll bother to replace these yet? Options are the Infinity 9603i.
Amplifier: really have liitle idea about which to go for, but am looking at a budget of £150-£200. Even if I do get the rear speakers I was thinking of just running the fronts from the amp. Will this sound reasonable? Any thoughts on the Phoenix Gold R2.5:2 or 4.0:2? Any others I should consider? I won't be installing a sub.
Lastly, any recommendations for someone to install this lot, preferably based in the West Sussex area and experienced with Subarus?
Thanks for your help.

Nathan, cheers mate . Will send you mail in a mo.
Gary, thanks a lot for the info and really useful link.
One question about fitting the front speakers - I see you made a collar for the 6000cs, are these available to buy? I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can use a Corsa spacer? Anyone got a part number or link to these?
Cheers
