You won't find an aftermarket head unit that will work with the OE changer. OK... some rare cases, Fiat Punto, Alfa 147, etc, where the OE changer is a Blaupunkt CDC-A08 but that's about it.

w.r.t. steering wheel controls, Connects2 make a range of stalk (and display) adaptors that allow Sony (with display), Panasonic, Kenwood and JVC head units to be used with the stalk controls.

Thumbs up

I was going to mention Sony: I noticed on several ICE sites that they do adaptors to allow thier headunits to use steering column controls in many cars.

Nope. OE changers, irrespective of who they're manufactured by, don't use the aftermarket protocols in the majority of cases including your Renault.
