I think the speakers are in all 4 doors, not sure if there are any more.
Anyway, want to improve the sound as it's ****e, but want to do it on a budget.

Head unit first, then front speakers. If you're on a budget, reckon on 200 quid for a head unit ASAP, then add a pair of front speakers for 50-100 next month or so.
The improvement for that will be massive comparatively speaking.
