Any suggestions? I have a car amp that is no longer used and virtually worthless but might make a nice sub setup for the computer. The power output of the amp is 100WRMS, can't find data on power consumption, but assume 200W at 14V?

I'm also looking for one of these, but i think a 'cheap' one maybe difficult to source. The main reason for this is the power the amp demands is very high.
A 100WRMS amp is probably gonna need up to 15A (operated @ 12 - 14v). I tried and old computer PSU to drive one of mine 250W RMS and it blew the PSU after a couple of minutes lol.
My next step is to ask a friendly car audio shop if they have an old PSU that needs a new home .

Yep, ham radio PSU is what you want. Most HF transceivers need a 15-20 amp PSU to operate, guess you'll be looking around £100 for one of these.
If you try www.wsplc.com then secondhand, then accessories you'll find a BNOS 30Amp jobbie for £69.00.
