am now converting to my new headunit and in the process have 5.1 surround.

I would like to know if there is a din size centre speaker which I can fit below the stereo as I will not otherwise be using the hole.

it would appear that kenwood do one but I can't tell if it is din size and also I would like the type which like the headunit can mount behind the front panel as opposed to in front.

Yes, the only one that I know of is the Kenwood one... I've seen one in the flesh and it does look DIN size but I can't confirm it. Phone kenwood themselves, as they've been helpful in the past.

There's a passive version, and active version: KSC900CTR is active, the KSC700CCS is passive.

ahh, now that is interesting as I am only after the passive version. although saying that, am not sure whether the AVH7500dvd has a 5 channel amp built in, in which case I would need the active version anyway.

thanks nick.

apparently the amp is a 5 channel amp, but its odd as there is a normal headunit connection 4 way speaker output from the headunit.

I presume the separate box unit must have an additional centre channel out.

Very strange. also the amplifier hi volt pree outs come from the screen not the control box which in the case of my car will be in the back somewhere.
