Electric ariel stays up with CD player on - Kenwood 8024

On my old Addzest, the elec ariel used to go down when the unit was off, or the CD player was on.
Noticed after fitting the Kenwood, the ariel is always up when the head unit is on.
Not right, surely

That's right mate.
Almost all aftermarket units provide an amp remote turn on output rather than an aerial output. The amp remote turn on is on whenever the head unit is switched on.
The 8024 will not have a separate aerial output on it.
