I've been offered a car kit that fits a Nokia 6310, however I have a 6100. Anyone know if I just replace the cradle if it will work? If not I'll get my name down on the group buy. (been offered this kit for free though)

 

you can not just change the cradle on nokia kits its the way nokia work so that in a yr or so you have to buy a complete kit
I cant remember of the top of my head if the kit is compatable to the two phone in question just try and see

 

if the phone fits in the cradle it should work BTW

 

6100 fits a CARK126
6310 fits a CARK91

I reckon you are out of luck.

Mattm is right,

The kit you have will only work with the 6310,6210 or the older phones like the 7110 5110.

The kit you need is the new CARK126, with these kits now you can change the cradle to fit other nokia phones so if you change you phone latter you should be able to upgrade it (Should).

The CARK 126 kits are always on EBAY for about £70+. don't bother with any other than a Nokia one as they aint worth the money 9 times out of 10.

If you go to Autoleads.co.uk you can get a kit to play the phone via your front speakers and no messing about cutting wires or finding the right ones.
