There's loads of sales on for these amps/subs in various car mags and shops.
Are they any good or - as the fact they are on sale indicates - no one wants them as they are pants?
Anyone recommend an amp?

They used to be very good, but have now gone mainstream. Old stuff is, IMHO, very good (others will disagree vehemently - expect a post from Adam M).
New stuff is still acceptable, but I'd listen before buying.
To be honest though, the brand of amp does not make a massive amount of difference to sound on the move - speakers will make a huge difference tho.

Must agree.... the public have been fooled for years!!!
Most old school amps walk over the new stuff. Remember the first generation ampboards where used on the following 3 designs.
The new headunits are krap. The series pnes made by ACdelco where the best. (Mines all nice and warm in the box!!)
The Subs are pants.
