Sound from satnav...

An aquaintance of mine has a unique fit headunit in a Pug Coupe that is integrated with his sat nav.
There is a third connector (as well as two others, for power etc and speakers) in the car's loom that contains the satnav sound output and connects to the OEM headunit.
Now, if he were to install an aftermarket new headunit where, in principle, would the satnav feed need to be patched in to? Could it mute the HU sound?

The sat nav whould have a radio mute wire, connect this to the mute wire on the head unit. you can also get a nutty box that mures the head unit and sorts it all out, or you can use a 14 pin 12v relay to switch speakers.
Personaly i fitted a small speaker to my sat nav because the radio mutes every time it gives directions, and if u r in a city its bl**dy annoying.
