scooby wiring head unit

Hi there,
Collecting a new kenwood head unit and scooby adaptor wire tomorrow so ive just took centre console of the car to have a look at what wires are left beyhind.
It seems some jap guy has cut his head unti out an dtaped up a load of wires, there are a few white plugs still connected which look like speaker wire, one is black and is an earth.
Has anyone got info on wiring diagram for a 97 sti type r or is it a case of get the tester out.......
What wires should there be there?
live constant
ign live
earth
speakers front and rear
lights?
