I am wanting to buy an Alpine HU but have noticed on the site that they recommend a Subaru adaptor to connect the stereo to the car....I currently have the oem 6 cd changer in the car at present and would welcome any advice as to whether I need to buy ths adaptor ?

Cheers

Nelson,

You need a wiring adaptor to convert from Suburu to ISO, which is what alpine uses. About a tenner from any car audio shop, the autoleads code is 2-44-4.

You won't be able to use your changer with the new headunit. Changers are all brand specifc. If it's an MY01+ then it'll be a Kenwood compatible changer. Prior to that it'll be Philips.

Cheers,
nick.
