Hello all.

I note that my 99 Classic Wagon has mesh near the door handles - possible tweeter placement?

I have a set in the garage that I could fit, though I have two questions:

1. I have heard there maybe wiring already supplied from manufacture to the tweeter locations, is this true?
2. Would they be easy to fit, or do you have to take the door card off?

Whilst I am at it, I fancy a better speaker for the front doors. No amp, just something witha b it more umph for the CD unit. Any help/model numbers and suppliers would be great. I am not in a hurry though as I just can't get enough of the engine/exhuast note still!!!! ;-)

No wiring for tweeters on my old MY00.

You need to remove the door card to get access but its dead easy.

Remove the electric windows switch panel and this exposes a phillips screw - remove.

Take out the small square blanking plate and this reveals another screw - remove.

Pull off the triangular mirror blank.

The door card is held on by pop clips so prise it off from the bottom working up the sides and lift upwards to clear it from the window runner.

A popular choice of speaker is the Infinity Reference 6000 or 6500.

Agree with Talizman, my 00 Impreza didn't have the wiring for tweeters either, but taking the door card off is a piece of p**s.
Do a search, think Chiark has a step by step instruction with pics to show you how to do it.
