No MD changer in the U.K. .....!
I am not a U.K. resident , but on on my last visit to London am sure I saw an MD changer
more than once ( I believe it was a Sony item)...
any way you can get one for sure from France
Or Germany.
It is available in this part of the world
(Kuwait) but is expensive so I am looking
into getting a single MD head unit instead.
Good Luck

The Pioneer Multi-Minidisk players have been discontinued in the U.K. for now.
I made an enquire about these recently and was told that there were two left @ £600.00 each.
At that price no wonder they’ve discontinued them, probably through lake of sales!

I can confirm that. They were available a few months ago but at £600 they can kiss it!
The reason they are so expensive is that Sony hold the rights to MD and so they can chrage other companies some serious wonga for the privelege!
Cheers!

Hi
I am looking for a replacement system for my Scooby (when it turns up of course!) and have looked at the Kenwood and Sony systems. Whilst these aren't MD changers, they do packages with a MD head unit twinned with a 10 or 6 CD changer. I've seen the Sony one at a place in Byfleet (Surrey) for under £300, although they charge £50 fitting. As for the Kenwood, Car Audio Direct have it on their website for £305 - guess you have to take it somewhere for fitting.

Karlo,
Have you considered the JVC KDMX3000R ?
It's a single unit but it accepts a CD or an MD in the same slot. One at a time ofcourse. But it's absolutley the best thing ever!
Other than it's remarkable ability to play both media, it is actually quite a capable machine. Not bad for 350 quid either!
I was so impressed with mine, I brought it to Canada with me.
