Question

I'm planning on installing my Dension player this weekend. The unit requires a live feed as well as the switched feed.

Does the standard head unit plug hold a live feed, if not is there anywhere within reach (cigarette lighter?) that would provide one. Can I unplug it rather than disconnet battery, and if not, is there any problem with disconnecting the battery for a short time?

Cheers

Ciggy lighter is switched on the ACC key position. Is it permanent live or switched live you're after?

Either one is available off the standard ISO wiring loom. I guess the denison doesn't need much juice, so you should be absolutely fine.

It requires both switched and perm. I have switched already - Red, is the live yellow?

My Alpine needed both too..

I used the switched feed from the ISO connectors (just by plugging it in to the head unit) and then ran a wire through and connected directly to the battery for the live feed.. works a treat and no problems

The permanent live is on ISO - I'll try to find which pin it's connected to, but if you've got a test lamp I'd use that to be sure
