i am fitting a sat nav. can anybody tell me how to find the speed sensor wire and reverse switch wire that i have to fit into the unit (auto transmission)

i think you'll find this link quite invaluable... its got the wire locations for the speed pulse coming from the ecu underneath the metal cover located in the passenger footwell.

as far as reversing light goes, take the feed of the reversing light wire at teh rear cluster (if its not on the link), but its really not worth it, unless you intend to drive 100 yds or more backwards.
