... but my mate is looking for an MP3 headunit.

Secondhand is ok, but not looking at paying much more than £100!!!

Looking at the new stuff, Sony CDX-MP40 is coming in about £125, which is handy as he has an old 10 disc changer kicking around!

I'm sure I've seen this headunit cheaper, but I can't remember any of the good ICE suppliers websites!!

MCS-Direct are doing the Sony for £125
Car Audio Direct are doing it for £140!!

Any other sites I should try, or does anyone want to sell their MP3 headunit?

Buy online and save on retail fees!

Go for a Kenwood if you want ease of use, options and a worldwide backup service.

I have the Kenwood KDC-MP4023, RRP NZ$650 (about 200pounds?). It's a very good unit, 50x4 MOSFET. Only 1 preout though, which means it's not that great for amping up. The other Kenwoods are pretty good too!

 

I can check with work on blaupunkt MP3 players, can get pretty good discount with free delivery. Let me know if your interested in Blaupunkt something like the Acapulco would be in your price bracket i think.
