Doorboards

Sorry guys, it's a German thing and I thought perhaps it might be prevalent in the UK too. Perhaps under a different name? Here is an example of them:

Go to that page and you can see the link to doorboards 1/2 way down in the middle. (Click "aus" to shut the music off.) As you can see, it is basically an overlay panel to move the speakers into the cabin and retain a stock look.

Aah, you do mean door cards. They're known as custom door builds over here. When I was looking, I found one place that wanted 350 quid + my old cards and they'd do something that would let me mount 6.5" speakers in there.
I had custom builds made locally for cheaper to a superb quality - pics follow. The craftsman is Maximum Impact in Leeds.
Any use?
Cheers,
Nick.

Yes it is & thank you!
Nomenclature aside, it appears there isn't a pre-made door build alternative, UK or US. (Or Deutsch for that matter.) In the US it is all custom shop fitments if you want the speaker mounted out from behind the factory grille in a Subie.
Nice work on your door cards BTW. They look great!

No, I couldn't find any pre-made. There are a few places that do do tailoring packages for a lot of cars (VW, BMW, other german stuff) but they wanted my original cards and a big wedge of money
