just testing the water here, but i'm considering changing my front end (this'll be the 4th time in 5 months....)

So does anyone fancy owning a Clarion VRX928 DVD/cd/mp3 headunit and the matching sat nav unit, then NZX9500E? I'd rather ship both together, but if i had to split the clarion screen would go first.

Price? £800 for the clarion and £410 for the sat nav.

Thoughts... yes, i know i'm mad... but i just keep on wanting to try new things - next project will be fibreglassed screen up front if i get rid of the clarion setup.

si

all details for this on www.clarion-eu.com/uk these two fabulous bits of kit are in teh current line up for this year as well.

Yep!

I think the price is fair; the screen goes for about 1200 on some sites, with an rrp of 1800 (!!!) and it was bought earlier this year (about 5 months old or so) and the sat nav can be had for £700 at the very lowest on on line retailers. all this lot is as new with boxes, instructions, blah blah... I just use the screen for the navigation now, so the dvd facility is a bit ott for me, plus i wouldn't mind returning to a more SQ orientated dedicated sound set up - although the clarion is very high quality as you'd expect!

i have a sony set at mo, 2 x amps, 2 x subs + 10 disc changer so it would have to be compatible with this lot, sorry im not tech minded on this stuff.

Prices r about right as i was going to buy one earlier in the year but the guy backed out in the end, it was up for 1.2k and we settled on 1k then he backed out at last minute..prob someone offered him a bit more

cd changers have to be the same as the head unit make, unless your sony is an FM compatable changer (ie can recieve it as a radio station through the head unit) other wise you'd have to buy a clarion changer (about 150) or of course, transfer cds onto mp3, then burn an mp3 cd which you could paly through the head unit - so that would easily give you 6 discs on one cd....

If your splitting, I'd be interested in the sat nav. Give me a shout if you are.

Cheers

As it so happens I was looking on the Clarion site as regards sat nav and you may be able to help.

When inputting a destination can you input by an O.S. Grid Ref or long / lat ?

Could not find information on the Clarion site.

All the best

soo many questions!! (this is my other login BTW)

I am now in Leeds!! Its nice up here, isn't it? Anyway to answer the rest of the questions:

I could split teh sat nav off, but as above, i'd rather get rid of the lot in one, but would be more willing to sell the navigation unit first.

The clarion sat nav can have locations entered in using grid reference. In all honesty, the Clarion UK site is sh!te - it even has some french creeping in there - and the other european ones are more useful.

Happy to demo it for anyone who's interested, although i am in leeds, will be up and down to surrey over teh next few months quite a bit.

cheers

si

Hi,

I'm at work so don't have access to email at the moment.

I'm interested in your screen, but your asking price is a bit too dear.

I'd be willing to offer £650 <flame suit on>

Thanks
