McIntosh Problem - Legacy GT-B

Have just purchased a 1999 Legacy GT-B
The standard McIntosh ICE has a problem !
Max Volume is EXTREMELY LOW. - Not talking high O/Ps here - so low you almost struggle to hear it when driving.
Also no O/P from front door speaker
(It does have a new "band expander")
Anybody have any information on the McIntosh unit, wiring details, etc ?
Is there maybe a separate Power Amp hidden somewhere ?
Anybody else had this problem or similar ?
