Uprated alternator
#1
Got a project for my impreza turbo 2000.
Got a split charge kit feeding 4 x 12v batteries.
Maximum power load of 6.5 to 7kWatt rms for ICE install only.
How much £££ for an uprated alternator and how long would it take to install it?
Preferably one that produces ALOT of power, what brands are available if there are any that make such alternators?
Been told a custom built alternator is what i should get.
Asked a couple of different website forums. Just curious what the answer would be from you scoob experts on this forum so i can compare thoughts/ideas.
Thanks

7 KWATT , hope your not fitting this in a scoob, you'll having nothing left of the car when you crank it up.
My 1kW system rattles my scoob like mad, so imagine what 7KW is gonna do.

True yea.
Its why im stripping all the interior down and rebuilding it all back up from the metal to a custom 2 seater interior.
Welding or/and using locking bolts/nuts securing added metal strengthened structure together.
Using fillers and/or rubber sealants/glands to prevent any slight normal vibration from the interior.
Exterior body parts such as the rear spoiler will probably have to be secured better, and custom strengthened harder across its span.

The real rattler is the rear bumper. It's a sod. Good luck with this, again it's a "must see!".
