About to bite the bullit, I know nothing about ICE. I have an import MY95 with a Kenwood KDC-PSW9521 head unit. I want to loose no boot space and would like it to be stealthy. Huge Bass is not my thing but just a nice sound with the ability to add an in car PC in the near future. From reading this section I am moving towards the following:
Genesis 6x9 subs under the rear shelf and a Genesis Profile 4x50 RMS amp under the drivers seat. I cannot decide on the fronts. My short list is Focal PolyGlass 165 V2 components or the 165 slims if they are a better fit and the Genesis A16 Audiophile components. Am I better going for all Genesis, are the focals better or am I going the wrong way completely? Budget fitted would be £1000

Also I have no speakers in the rear doors at present should I get some? Although the PC will be able to play DVDs etc. I don't envisage doing much of this and surround sound is not in the plan.

Are there any decent web sites I could consult or magazines to get?

I've just fitted Focal 165H components in the front. They're a bu66er to fit but sound mint.

I'm running them straight from the head unit but do intend to amp them up as soon as I get another pair for the rear.

Well I've bitten the bullet and booked the car in for Monday. Went for the Focals, they stock both and the Genesis cost a few quid more, even so they recommended the Focals so hopefully they'll sound OK.

Time will tell
