replacement of std MY03 double-DIN
#1
Hi,
In my way of dismounting the center panel to be able to install my Single-DIN flipout-monitor(or whatever they are called...) inplace of the std. double-DIN headunit.
The dismounting was not a problem by using the instructions on Chiraks website but I am a bit worried about how to dismount the AC/went package to be able to remove the center plastic bit totally.
Do the ***** come of simply by pulling them or is there another trick that I should know of before destroying anything?

WRX Bill if its an 03 the whole stereo surround (which includes the heater controls etc) - just pops out. If you pop out the cupholder - you should be able to get a finger behind it and then pull towards you firmly. The bottom section will pull out last!

loscooby - I don't even bother disconnecting anything. Just pull the panel off and leave it dangling. You have plenty of room to work with - unless you are planning to modify the panel itself to accomodate your screen...
