P1 rear speakers
#1
ok guys, i had a quick peek behind the covers of the rear speakers and the stocks are bolted on fromt eh plate thing...
thing is, i cant get to the bolts to undo them!
does this mean i need to take out the rear seat and then remove the carpet board fromt the shelf just to take out the old ones?!
if so, how do i get the back of the seat off?

Hi Jag,
remove the seat base (2 bolts), then unbolt the rear of the seat (3 bolts) and lift off.
You need to remove the side panels next to the rear window, then u can remove the shelf... It'll take about 30-45 minutes.
You may find that the window sealant is holding the glue in too - either be careful with a stanley knife or just pull...
Cheers,
Nick.

cheers for the quick reply.
when i take the old ones out with the plate, what sort of size is the hole that is left? it looks like 5*8ish oval to me...
i wanna drop some 6.5" mids into there... how do you propose i do that? keep the plate by cutting out the stock speakers or building an mdf block?
