has anyone installed 6x9's in their classic shape scoob?
is it easy ?

Replace the front speakers first. It'll sound a lot better.

Hi Chiark,

i have put alpines in the front already with twatters. it's made a real differance already..i'm lacking in the bass dept at the mo and i don't really wanna put a sub in cos i'll be using the boot quite often.

You can fit 6x9s in the back, and it will give you better bass response but at the expense of your imaging as sounds will come from the back.

Fit any brand of 6x9 from underneath the shelf (ie don't try to drop them in the hole, put them under the hole) and you'll find a good improvement in response. Also, you might want to experiment with filtering the 6x9 response a little if you can. Cut some of the treble with a coil (inductor) and that might save your imaging.
