i had this in the scoob a few months back (worked very well, wish i still had the sat nav ) thought i'd post a piccy of it as it works very well as a stealth sat nav install; the screen was held in with velcro and just pulled away to sit in the centre glove box when not in use.

Well - can't see the pic yet, but I've been looking around and depending what you've got already:

My Clarion TV will allow a Sat Nav module to connect (Pricey but all connected together then)

The XDA & Ipaq PDA's both have software packages and connecting leads to turn them into speaking systems with pics!

There's a cheap (DIN unit) Blaupunkt going for around £450 which is very comprehensive and good at the job, but isn't great on looks (if you want / need them)

Then there's standalone units (look in Office World for a demo), that go from 400 quid for a black and white one) all the way up to a £1100 colour one!

Hope some of this helps

cheers - it was just a picy of what i had a while back, thought i'd share it on the forum. I'll probably end up buying the clarion sat nav to hook up to my 928 widescreen dvd

Ha - let me know how it goes as we've got the same one.

The Sat Nav doesn't however, use the touch screen function on the TV, you have to input everything via the remote apparently!

But I'd be interested to see what deal you get and how good it is, let me know.

i kind of wondered if that was the case, shame it isn't touch screen controlled - what i would like to check out is the benefit of using the clarion satnav over alpine/kenwood etc as there are controls on the hu for the satnav - presumabley the voice cuts in and you can switch to sat nav whilst having music playing. the problem i've found is that top end kit is hardly ever on demo, and i haven't spoken to a dealer who knows much about it anyway

I'll ask when I go and pick the car up in Sept (if you can wait that long) and then I'll get back to you. The guy there has seen it working and might well be able to tell me where you can go and what it's like etc.
