Cheap stereo's in Essex?

Hey all.
I have a mate staying who is a car mechanic/fitter bod and has offered to fit my autochanger/new head unit - wohoo!
Problem is I haven't bought one yet - need to get it sharpish and don't want to pay Halfords prices. So anyone know of anywhere round Grays who has a good selection and will sell em cheap? Ideally want Edworthy-like prices, but mail order is out because of delivery time

lemme know what you want, Tottenham Court Road is remarkably close to where I work and I know some of the guys down there, get rather good prices (like paying UKP 600 for three PhaseLinear amps and PSU which should have cost UKP 2k....)
