Cool

You'll need an ISO to Subaru wiring harness, get one from any "larger" dealer, they should have it in stock.
Had to get one for my Pioneer, when mounting it in my GT, easy and cheap.

Question

I thought any of the UK cars supplied with a Phillips stereo has ISO connectors!!

I've had two Impreza's, and both the MY97 and MY99 had ISO connectors!

Maybe it's different with European imports and MY00 car's, but I'm sure someone will correct me!!!

...maybe it's something with my Swedish MY00 then, I needed a converting harness from the Subaru connector to the ISO standard one on my Pioneer headunit.

All (UK Spec with Phillips), MY00 have an ISO connector. This takes the form of an adaptor lead from the original Subaru Multiplugs. If the Phillips Head Unit has been removed prior to you taking delivery, then you will need a harness adaptor. These are available from my company AVS at £7.95 including vat, postage and packing. Please contact me on 01793 772299 if you require one and I can send one out for next day delivery. E-Mail info@avs.uk.net

Jake

Don't know if this might help, but here goes.

Replaced the stock Subaru radio/cassete
a few months back with a set up from Blaupunkt + steering(wireless) remote+ 10CD
changer.

Used a harness supplied by Blaupunkt
to connect the new head unit with the car's
harness thus avoiding any cutting or modifications to the vehicle's harness.

note: the harness was labelled (Hyundai)

but will fit on the Impreza (MY99+MY00)
just fine.

Good luck

I agree with that harness --Hyundai type for the Australian WRX. For any Australian readers---Head down to your nearest Super Cheap Auto and take a look at the Hyundai adapter it sure looks the right one--pity i lived in the middle of nowhere at the time i installed my new headunit and i just cut the loom cable
