My car stereo has sounded like a telephone was ringing in the background for a long while now. When the unit is removed from the dash it goes away...
I have now found the cause and I'm shocked as to why the stereo worked at all!!
The wires behind the ISO connector have all been cut for some reason, and the wires have been "fixed" by twisting them back together and then wrapping them in tape... Not even soldered!
No wonder it doesn't work well...
Does anyone have a list of the wire colours for the MY96 Scoob stereo connections? It will save me a load of time tonight!
(It's not in the wiring diagram section of the workshop manual that is on the web AFAIK)
Thanks
