Anyone with an opinion as to which is the best Sat Nav unit out of these two. Wanted something that would match the interior trim and not cost the world

haven't seen the sony, but had a go with the pioneer and it seems very good and quick, too. is the sony one the model based on the becker navigation unit? Or am i thinking of something different?

They're both badge engineered Becker Traffic Pros. Go with styling, display and price.

There are some JVC Beckers doing the rounds on eBay @ the mo (with v5 s/w) at very good prices.

I will have a likely used Sony NV100 up for grabs in a few weeks. Feel free to email if interested.

Have you considered the new Alpine INA-N333R? It might not be silver, but the illumination is Green, unlike the blue pioneer or the yellow Sony. Its dvd based, gives amazing junction displays, and although its £1250 retail, I have seen one dealer do it for £999 fitted. I have used one, and its really good - much faster than the Pioneer or the Sony.
